Mostly Salish Consulting,
Carrie Reid, M.A., Registered Art Therapist
Serving Canada (Carrie travels!)
We created a brand new site, working closely with Carrie in all aspects of the design--colours, layout, navigation, etc.
Because Carrie's services are delivered in many rural parts of Canada, we had to ensure that her site will degrade nicely on older computers using dial-up connections. Consequently, we've used a combination of older coding and newer features such as layers, a style sheet, and some DHTML.

Vancouver Island Home Sales,
Michele Blanchette, Realtor.
Real Estate Sales, Nanaimo, B.C.
Michele chose the colour schemes and defined the basic link categories. Linda then created the site in XHTML, using DHTML and CSS to enhance the listings by providing a convenient method for fully profiling each property. A useful visitor experience was forefront in our thoughts and we believe the site satisfactorily meets our criteria.

Imperial
Eagle Lodge & Charters,
Bamfield, B.C.
While we didn't create this attractive
site, we've updated its 5 year old code
to
the newer
XHTML standards, added three new pages,
many new images, and updated parts of
the text. See "Our
clients say..."
for comments.

www.somass-motel.ca
|
Somass Motel, Port Alberni, B.C.
Complete site overhaul (a new site).
Microsoft server.
Features DHTML drop-down menu, and larger photo overlays. All photos
optimized for the fastest download possible while still maintaining
an acceptable resolution. The reservation form is generating lots of
response for the client. See "Our clients say..." for comments.

www.logstairandrail.com |
B.C. Log Stair & Rail,
Errington, B.C.
We created a new site for this manufacturer
of quality log products who needed a
showcase for his products. Six separate
DHTML
slide shows were created
- one for each type of product. A DHTML "sliding" menu
keeps the site nice and tidy. The owner
is very pleased with the site, and
the manner in which his log work is presented.

www.pacificrimtourism.ca |
Pacific Rim Tourism Association,
Port Alberni, B.C.
New site. Microsoft server.
This is the most comprehensive site we've done. It has several DHTML
features, plus visitor information is partially delivered with ASP and
an Access database. Members' tourism "offerings" can be found
through several different interfaces, including the site's own search
feature. Many photos enhance the site, plus there are several forms
for visitors to use to contact the various tourist agencies in the region.
This site has a lot of "activity" and
many contacts have been made through
the contact forms. See "Our clients say..." for comments.

Spring 2006: Our "web service" is now concentrated on working with local clients to develop or re-develop their personal, business, or non-profit web sites. The client participates in the whole design process, enters the site's content, thereby learning how to maintain their own site.
This service is available to anyone in the central Vancouver Island area, or, if travel costs and accommodation are provided, I'll consider bringing my laptop and travelling to other locales.
In addition to web design, you can contract me to teach you a range of computer skills.
For more information, see "our services" section.
