~ The Problem ~

Download Speeds & Other Considerations

How many seconds will you wait for a page to load? At what point do you get frustrated and leave?

Test your personal "waiting" tolerance, then test your own pages against your personal benchmark.

If you suspect that your page(s) take longer to load than you would normally wait for someone else's pages to load, then you're probably right. Take heart—there are some simple solutions to help you improve this problem.

But..., you say, "What problem?" "Why worry, everyone is acquiring much faster connections now!" "In fact, I have a cable connection and it's really fast."

If you're sure that all your visitors have fast connections, newer machines and modems, you don't have to worry. (And, you may be right—it depends upon the type of site you have.)

If you're not sure of the above, we invite you to check out our basic tips, or our services.
