Notes:

  • For security reasons, consider choosing e-mail clients that don't automatically give you HTML pages. Choose ones that deliver your mail as a text file, and, if the program does allow HTML pages, choose a program that lets you turn off the HTML feature.

  • For the security reasons stated above, consider never sending your own messages in the HTML format.

  • What's the problem? Scripts can be embedded in HTML pages - scripts that can activate, or encourage you to activate, some type of nasty "exploit" on your computer. (Note: I filter out all HTML e-mail.)
